How to Disable Norton Internet Security Ad-Blocking

For the past few months I have been getting more and more emails from regular Cudaworld.com visitors. The overall complaint is that they can not see the images in my ads.?.?. After several tests I have finally determined it's because all of the users were using Norton Internet Security. This is because the Norton software can block images based only on their size, and not their content. Pretty presumptuous isn't it...?

Symantec, the maker of Norton software products, reasons that if a picture is the size of an advertisement, then it must be an advertisement. Since legitimate images come is all sizes, what you see in your browser while using Norton's Ad blocking software is unpredictable, and certainly not what we website developers intend. Because the Norton "feature" is enable by default and does not tell you when it blocks what it believes is to be an ad, you will never know that you are missing legitimate non-advertising content.

Making assumptions about the purpose of an image based solely on it's size is absolutely ridiculous, especially for a company that takes itself so seriously as a leader in the security field. If Symantec uses this kind of flawed logic to determine what you are able to view on your computer, can you trust them to keep your computer safe and virus free? Regardless, if you are having these issues with my site please follow the instructions below to begin experiencing Cudaworld.com the way it was meant to be! Of course if this doesn't solve your problems please feel free to email me anytime,

Thanks,

Note: This will not compromise the security of your computer!

Step 1:
Open the Norton Internet Security main screen by clicking the Norton Internet Security icon in your taskbar (the little blue-and-green -globe next to the clock), or on your Desktop, or in the Start -> Programs folder. If you have version 2003 or 2004, the following screen will appear. Click on the Ad Blocking link shown in the red rectangle below.

Step 2:
Click the "Turn Off" button highlighted in red on the image below to switch off the Ad-Blocking feature (this will not compromise the security of your computer).

Now you should be able to open a new Internet Explorer window, browse to Cudaworld.com and view my ads!
Good luck!
