Production images of the all new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 have finally been released!
I personally couldn't wait for these long overdue images of the production Challenger. Of course, Cudaworld.com is a website that focuses primarily on Cuda's, but we love them all, especially this one with the name plate so dear to our hearts!
The new Dodge Challenger SRT8 emcompasses the retro styling of the past with the modern technology and power of today! I know countless articles have already been written on this car but none of them until today have had these images.
Just a few short moments ago Dodge released the long anticapted website for the new Challenger. Everything you want to know is here!

Chrysler is expected to release 6,400 of these exclusive beasts this year, and if you haven't got your name on the list good luck getting one from the dealer. Reliable, inside sources have confirmed that the only colors you will see this year will be Orange, Black and Silver. I have personally seen an Orange and a black one driving around the plant in Brampton, Ontario this past week. They sound incredible and pictures simply do not do this car justice!
Although not confirmed, all of the new Challengers for 08 will be automatics. That's a bummer considering there will be nothing like shifting the gears of the most incredible car to come out of Chrysler since the launch of the Viper in the early 90's.
Can you imagine the aftermarket industry? There is little doubt they will be selling everything from Shaker hoods to Chin spoilers, Pistol grip shift knobs, Cuda conversion kits, and everything else that made the original Challenger so special. Personally, I can't wait for someone to design 20" ralley rims for this bad boy!
Either way, the new Dodge Challenger SRT8 promises to appeal to young and old in the coming months and years. It's success is truly in the consumer's hands, we asked for it, they built it, so let's get out and get one! Enjoy the pics and don't forget to check back here for more extensive information and reviews on the all the 2008 Dodge Challenger!
